Husband imprisoned for murdering wife in Sonagazi

A woman named Asma Akhter (19) was found guilty of beating and strangling in Feni’s Sonagazi. The incident took place on Sunday night at the house of Shuja Uddin, chairman of Gobindapur village under Nawabpur union of Sonagazi upazila.
Sonagazi Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Humayun Kabir said the body was rescued from the scene and handed over to the family after the autopsy.
Asma Akter’s mother Zinni filed the murder case against Asaram’s husband Borhan Uddin Ahmed (35). Borhan was arrested on that night. OC also said that on Wednesday morning Feni was sent to jail through Adalat.
Locals and family members of the deceased, Borhan Uddin Ahmed is the younger son of former chairman Suja Uddin. Four years ago, she was married to Asma Akter, daughter of Rafiqul Islam, a resident of Qatar’s Fatehpur village of the same union. They have a six-month-old girl child.
On Sunday evening, husband Borhan Uddin and Bhasur Mejbah Uddin Raju beat Asham and assaulted him on Sunday evening due to the family feud.
