High-rise building catches fire in city

A fire broke out at a 20-storey building in Purana Paltan area of the capital on Saturday morning.
The fire broke out on the second floor of the high-rise, adjacent to Shawon Tower, in the area around 9:10am, said fire service control room duty officer Mahfuz.
On information, five fire fighting units from the headquarters and Khilgaon fire station rushed to the spot and are trying to douse the flame, reports UNB.
The source of fire could not be ascertained immediately.
