Awami League wants meaningful & competitive polls
Ruling party General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Tuesday (Oct 2) said Awami League want the upcoming national polls to be competitive and meaningful.
Awami League doesn’t expect to score goal on an empty field, he said.
Obaidul Quader, also the minister for road transport & bridges, was addressing the 51st founding anniversary of Samyabadi Dal, at the Institution of Engineers Bangladesh (IEB).
Samyabadi Dal Secretary General Dilip Barua presided over the event.
“Awami League too wants national unity. But it (the unity) will be a unity of the pro-liberation war forces and opposing the communalism and anti-liberation forces, added Quader.
