The EC Has Postponed 16 Elections Due to Flooding
Dhaka: Election Commission (EC) has announced the suspension of 16 local government officials on Aug 20 due to flood and natural disaster.
On Wednesday (August 16th), EC’s deputy secretary Nuruzzaman Talukder sent the suspension to the concerned election officials.
It said – Election Commission has announced the suspension of the August 20 election due to flood and natural disasters.
The EC’s Public Relations Director SM Asaduzzaman said this directive will be effective until the next time it is set.
Those are run at the election has been postponed general election, pirganj pirganj Union Parishad (UP), Raipur, UP, UP and Kasba Ramnathpur kharera amongst the general election.
Besides, general ward number 9 no. Of Ahmedpur UP, general ward number 6 of Mahidha of Bhedarganj upazila, general ward number 1 in Baharampur, 9 general wards of harihnagar in Manirampur, 3 wards general ward of golni, Bagmara south union of Comilla sadar south, Chandra 1 in Chandpur Number reserved ward, Common number of common wards of Feni Sadar 4, High Char Fatehpur 8 Number of wards, general wards and Sylhet, Moulvibazar manamukhera 5 No. 1 No. reserved wards are amongst tukerabajara election has been postponed.
