Rohingyas can not be given any place: Obaidul Quader

Awami League General Secretary, Road Transport, and Stress Minister Obaidul Quader have urged the UN Secretary General Kofi Annan to resolve the Rohingya issue on the basis of discussion.
He said that considering the humanitarian side, the Rohingyas have repeatedly sheltered them in Bangladesh. But now they can not be given their place.
He said this at a press briefing after Awami League president Sheikh Hasina’s Awami League secretariat meeting was held in the office of Awami League President Sheikh Hasina at Dhanmondi office on Tuesday afternoon. Obaidul Quader presided over the meeting. Joint General Secretary Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif, Dr. Dipu Moni, Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Awadur Rahman, organizing secretary Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, Enamul Haque Shamim and many members of the editorial were present.
Obaidul Quader has called upon the activists to spend the Eid festival with the flood victims. He also urged the leaders and activists to reduce the cost of Eid and help the flood victims.
Responding to a question about Khaleda Zia’s Rohingyas sitting abroad, Obaidul Quader said that the statement about the abduction of Rohingyas in Bangladesh is not justified. Responding to a query, he said, there is no other way than BNP’s anti-apartheid reforms.
