Rohingyas again infiltrate

The International Immigration Agency (IOM) said in a report that the Rohingya infiltration started again in July after a brief break. A Rohingya Coordinator from Baluchali Camp said that at least 100 Rohingya families from Myanmar fled to Bangladesh in the past week. Almost every day, crossing the border, they are entering the areas of Cox’s Bazar and other areas. And the BGB said they are strictly monitoring the Rohingyas to prevent the infiltration.
According to the International Immigration Agency (IOM), since last October, 87 thousand Rohingyas have been forced to flee to Bangladesh. According to a recent report of the IOM, the Rohingyas fled to Bangladesh due to suppression of Myanmar army in October, but this trend declined in late February this year. But the new Rohingya infiltration started from July last.

The newly repatriated Rohingya are staying in Ukhia’s Baluchali and Kutupalong and Teknaf’s Leda, Nayapara and Damdemia camps. There are 35 coordinators to look after the Baluchali Camp Rohingyas, who are called ‘medium’. Lalu Majhi, who is the chief of his own, has fled to Bangladesh in December last year. Laloo Majhi told the Bengali Tribune in Baluchali Camp on Tuesday (August 22nd) that many Rohingya fleeing to Bangladesh. He claimed that at least 100 families have fled to Bangladesh in the last one week.

Lt. Col. SM Ariful Islam, commander of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Teknaf Battalion, said, “The Rohingyas tried to isolate themselves to enter Bangladesh. But we have to rehabilitate them. “Various sources have found that the country’s army is operating in the name of holding ‘terrorists’ in different villages in Myanmar border and this is due to a growing gathering of the Myanmar army at the border of Bangladesh.

National Task Force meeting:
For the implementation of National Strategy Pattern on Refugees and Unregistered Rohingya, the two-day 14th meeting of the National Task Force begins on Wednesday (August 23) in Cox’s Bazar. This is the second meeting of the task force in Cox’s Bazar. Foreign Secretary M Shahidul Haque will chair the meeting of the National Task Force. Secretary of the Department of Public Security Dr. Kamal Uddin Ahmed and Environment Secretary Ishtiaque Ahmed will also take part in the meeting. Task Force members will visit Baluchali camp, Leda camp, and Nayapara camp.
