A budget of Tk 417 crores has been proposed for the budget. Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith presented the budget proposal for the fiscal year 2017-18 in the National Parliament on Thursday (01 June).
4,266 crore proposed in the financial year 2017-1018. 417 crores for the cultural sector in this budget. In 2016-17, the proposal was Tk 421 crore; But in the budget passed it was 366 crore taka As per the proposed budget, it is proposed to increase the amount of 51 crores more than the previous time.
The Finance Minister said in the budget speech, our government is working for the development and development of indigenous culture and cultural heritage, the spirit of liberation war and the contemporary industry-literature research and development. For the institutionalization of cultural and industrial practices at grass root level, the work of cultural infrastructure development in all the departments, districts, and upazilas, including small ethnic dominated areas, is underway. We will continue this trend in the future.
