BNP’s Habib-un-Nabi Sohel ‘detained’

Law enforcement detained Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) joint secretary general Habib-un-Nabi Khan Sohel from in Malibagh area of the city early Tuesday.
BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi told newsmen that a team of detective branch of police picked up Sohel around 4:30am from Malibagh area in city.
Rebutting the claim of Rizvi, DB joint commissioner Abdul Baten, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-3 commander lieutenant colonel Imranul Hasan and Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) deputy commissioner (Ramna Division) Maruf Hossain Sardar did not admit to the detention of Sohel.
