Landslides claim 38 lives in CTG hills

At least 38 people were killed in separate landslides in Rangamati, Chittagong and Bandarban districts early Tuesday.
At least , 22 people were killed in Rangamati Sadar, eight in Bandarban Sadar and eight others in Chittagong’s Chandnaish.
In Rangamati, 21 people were killed in Bedbedi area and another was killed in Reservebazar area.
In Chittagong, eight including three of a family died in Dhopachori area. Police could not yet to reach the remote location.
In Bandarban, eight people, including three of a family, were killed in Lemujuri area.
Two are still remained missing.
Of the eight, four people were identified as Shuvo Borua, 8, Mithu Borua, 6 and Lota Borua, 5. The three were a same family members of Agapara area of the district.
The another one was identified as Rebi Tripura,18, of Kalaghat area.
Two members of a family mother Kamrunnahar, and daughter Sufia, 20, are remained missing.
Three people were injured in the incident.
The incident occurred after continuous downpour due to depression.
