Truck collapses in Naogaon, 7 dead

The accident took place at Naogaon-Rajshahi Highway in Haji Gobindapur area around 8:30 am on Saturday. However, the identity of the casualties was not known. The Ombudsman Police Station OC Anisur Rahman said that the truck carrying nine workers was going to Rajshahi from Naogaon in the morning. Haji Gobindapur area lost control of the truck and fell into a ditch by the roadside. Seven workers died on the spot. Two people were injured in the accident. They were sent to Manda upazila health complex.
The OC said that the police were sent to the spot. The process of recovery of the body is underway. The body will be sent to Naogaon Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
